CLOSED Case Noted. As part of Boston 2030 some traffic signals are being changed from an exclusive pedestrian sequence (all walk) to a concurrent pedestrian sequence. This signal is designed in conformance with BTD Guidelines which specify a system of walk lights in conformance with federal safety standards and widely used throughout the country. Under this system it is possible to provide longer "Walk" times and shorter delays to vehicles and pedestrians. During the green light for vehicles "Walk" signals are on for pedestrians crossing parallel to the flow of traffic. Under this system turning traffic must yield to pedestrians. We have verified that signs are in place directing turning traffic to yield to pedestrians and additional signs are provided to warn pedestrians to watch for turning vehicles. - about 16 hours ago #101002937841
